Hi! Thanks for reaching out. I understand that your Anki app on your phone says you have completed cards and won’t let you study the deck, but it’s working fine on your desktop. Let’s get to the bottom of this together.

To help me better understand, can you tell me if you’ve tried syncing both devices recently? Sometimes the mobile app doesn’t reflect the latest changes unless both the desktop and mobile apps are fully synced.

Meanwhile, here’s a step-by-step guide to try resolving this:

1. Sync Desktop First: Open Anki on your Windows desktop and click the sync button to ensure all progress is uploaded to AnkiWeb.

2. Sync Mobile After: On your phone, open Anki and sync again. This downloads the latest progress, including cards you’ve marked as completed on desktop.

3. Check "New Cards Ignore Review Limit" Setting: On your phone’s Anki app, go to deck options, and look for a setting called “new cards ignore review limit.” Toggle it on if it’s off, then sync again. This has resolved similar issues for some users where card counts were inconsistent between apps1.

4. Log out and back into your Anki account on the phone: Sometimes this can refresh syncing and fix misalignments.

5. Close Anki on Desktop While Syncing on Mobile: Ensure Anki is fully closed on the desktop before you sync on your phone to avoid conflicts2.

If after these the phone still shows your cards as complete incorrectly, let me know. We can then check for time zone issues (because Anki relies on time to determine card due dates) or any bug-related workaround.

Does this make sense so far? Did you try syncing in this sequence or make any changes just now?
