Hi there! I see that after uninstalling and reinstalling Soundboard Studio on your iPhone 16e, you're having trouble adding tracks. Let's get this sorted out together.

Just to clarify: When you try to add tracks, what exactly happens? Do you see an error message, or does the app just not respond? Also, are you attempting to add tracks from your Music library, Files app, or another source?

In the meantime, here are some straightforward steps to check:

1. Check Permissions: Make sure Soundboard Studio has permission to access your music or files. Go to your iPhone Settings > Privacy > Media & Apple Music and confirm the app is allowed access.

2. Downloaded Tracks: If you're trying to import from your Music library, ensure the tracks are downloaded locally onto your iPhone, not just available via Apple Music streaming. The app cannot add tracks that aren't physically downloaded7.

3. Importing from Files or Cloud: Alternatively, try importing audio files via the Files app or from Dropbox, if you have tracks stored there. The app supports those methods too8.

4. App Version Compatibility: Verify the app version is up to date from the App Store to avoid any known bugs.

Try these options and let me know which source you're using and what behavior you observe. That’ll help me dig deeper and get you back on track!

Thanks for sharing that detail about the 'Add Tracks' button not being highlighted in Soundboard Studio on your iPhone 16e. That’s a key clue.

Usually, when that button is grayed out or inactive, it suggests that the app might not currently be able to add tracks because of one or more of these reasons:

1. No Soundboard or Session Loaded: The app requires you to have created or opened a soundboard/session before adding tracks. If you haven’t created a new soundboard or opened an existing one, the option to add tracks might remain disabled. Try creating a new soundboard first—usually by tapping a “+” or “New” button in the main interface—and then check if “Add Tracks” becomes enabled.

2. Incomplete Setup or Mode Restrictions: Some modes or views in the app might restrict editing features. Double-check that you are in the right editing mode where track additions are allowed.

3. App Bug or Glitch: Since you reinstalled, it’s rare but possible some settings or cache might cause this. Try restarting your iPhone once and reopening the app.

4. App Permissions: Although less likely, it’s worth verifying again that Soundboard Studio has access permissions enabled for your audio/files under iPhone Settings > Privacy.

Could you let me know if you have already created a soundboard and if so, what happens when you open it? Is the app presenting you with a list/grid of buttons or an empty screen? That will help me steer you more precisely.

Also, are you using the free Lite version or the full paid Soundboard Studio app? Some features might differ subtly between them.

Let's get this going from the right starting point!

Thanks for the extra info! Since after reinstalling, you see no soundboards and the “tap + to add sounds” button isn’t highlighted, it sounds like the app isn’t allowing you to create or add tracks to a new soundboard yet.

Typically, in Soundboard Studio, you first need to create a new soundboard session before the “+” (add sounds) button becomes active. Here's what I recommend:

1. Create a New Soundboard
Look for a + (plus) icon or “New Soundboard” option on the main screen of the app. Tap that to start a fresh soundboard.

2. Start Adding Sounds
Once the new soundboard opens, the “tap + to add sounds” button should highlight or become active. You’ll be prompted to either import audio files from your device or record new sounds.

3. If the Button Remains Disabled
- Make sure your app is fully updated via the App Store.
- Restart the app and your iPhone to clear any temporary glitches.
- Check if your iPhone has any restrictions on apps adding files (Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions).

4. Refer to Official Guidance
This guide shows how to make your own soundboard and add sounds in Soundboard Studio: ‘To import a sound, tap the + icon in the top right where you'll be given the option to start a new board...’4

If you don’t see an option to create a new soundboard anywhere, or the button still won’t activate after creating one, please let me know. We can then explore app permissions or deeper troubleshooting.

Are you able to find the new soundboard creation option in the app’s interface?

Why is 'Add Tracks' button inactive in Soundboard Studio?

Great question about why the "Add Tracks" button might be inactive in Soundboard Studio. Based on typical app behavior and what I've seen, here are the main reasons and fixes:

1. No Soundboard Created or Opened: The app requires you to create or open a soundboard session before you can add tracks. Until you start a new board, the "Add Tracks" button often stays inactive. Make sure you tap the "+" button or "New Soundboard" to create a fresh board first.

2. Not in Edit Mode: Sometimes, the app needs you to be in the editing view of a soundboard. If you’re just viewing the main screen or a list of boards, the track-adding options may remain disabled.

3. App Version or Bug: Make sure your Soundboard Studio app is updated to the latest version available on the App Store. Older versions might have bugs causing buttons to stay inactive.

4. Permissions Issue: Although rarer, confirm the app has permission to access your audio files or Music Library on your iPhone via Settings > Privacy.

5. Feature Limit in Lite Version: If you are using Soundboard Studio Lite (free version), some track-adding features might be limited or locked.

A quick step to try is to create a new soundboard first, then see if the "Add Tracks" button becomes available. If that doesn't help, restarting the app and your iPhone can sometimes clear glitches.

If the problem persists after all this, it might be worthwhile to contact the developer support via their official site Soundboard Studio or check for recent app updates1 3.

Let me know if you want me to help guide you through these steps! Are you trying this on the full app or the Lite version?
