Hi there! I understand you're encountering an issue where a pop-up for clipping coupons appears and locks your screen. Let's work through this together!
To start, could you please clarify if you’re experiencing this issue within the Kroger app, or are you trying to access it through a web browser? Additionally, have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far?
Here are some initial steps to address the problem:
1. Close and Restart the App: Sometimes, simply closing the app completely and reopening it can resolve minor glitches.
2. Check for App Updates: Make sure you have the latest version of the Kroger app installed. Go to the Windows Store, search for the Kroger app, and see if there's an update available.
3. Clear Cache: If using a web browser, clearing the cache might help. You can do this by going to the settings of your browser and looking for "Privacy and Security" options.
4. Reinstall the App: If you're using the app and the issue persists, consider uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. Many users have found this to be helpful in resolving persistent problems.2
5. Disable Pop-Up Blockers: If you're using a web browser, ensure that any pop-up blockers are disabled for the Kroger website, as they may interfere with coupon clipping.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please let me know, and we can explore more advanced options or possibly escalate this to further support if needed. Are you satisfied with the solution I provided so far?
It is kroger app. I can't close because it is locked, I have deleted it several times and re installed it but it just works for a time or two and locks again
Thank you for sharing that. It sounds like the Kroger app continues to lock your screen even after reinstalling it. Let's try to find a solution that works for you.
Since you're having trouble with the app locking, here are a few steps that might help resolve the issue more thoroughly:
1. Clear App Cache (if Possible): Since the app is locking, you might not be able to access settings directly. If you can access your device settings, locate the app settings for Kroger and try to clear the cache and data.
2. Check for Background Apps: Sometimes, other applications running in the background can interfere. You can open Task Manager (by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and close any unnecessary applications, especially those that might involve notifications or overlays.
3. Disable Battery Saving Mode: Sometimes, battery saving modes can cause apps to behave unexpectedly. Make sure that your device isn’t set to battery saver mode while trying to use the Kroger app.
4. Check for System Updates: Ensure that your Windows operating system is fully updated. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for any updates available. Sometimes, updates include fixes for compatibility issues with apps.
5. Try Running in Compatibility Mode: Right-click on the Kroger app icon, go to Properties > Compatibility tab, and try running the app in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows.
6. Contact Kroger Support: If the problem persists after trying these steps, I recommend reaching out to Kroger support directly via email at [email protected], as they may be able to provide you with more tailored support for this issue.
If you're able to try any of these steps, let me know how it goes! Are you satisfied with the solution I provided so far?
