If you are not receiving alerts from the Watch Duty app, several factors can cause this, and there are specific troubleshooting steps you can follow:

1. Check Notification Settings
- For Apple iOS: Go to Settings > Notifications > Watch Duty and ensure Allow Notifications is enabled. If you use Focus modes (such as Do Not Disturb), make sure Watch Duty is allowed to send notifications during these modes1.
- For Android: Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > See all Apps > Watch Duty > Notifications and ensure notifications are enabled1.

2. Confirm Subscription Settings
- Open the Watch Duty app, use the navigation menu (☰), and select Notifications.
- Ensure you are subscribed to the correct county or counties. You will only receive alerts for the counties you have selected13.
- You can adjust whether you get All Notifications for incidents or only the First Notification3.

3. Test Notifications
- Make sure your app is updated to the latest version in the app store.
- Open the app, go to Notifications, and use the Test Notifications function. This will check your setup and send a test notification. If you don't receive it, you can rerun the test or proceed to uninstall and reinstall the app2.

4. Clear Cache (Android Only)
- Go to Settings > Storage > Other Apps > Watch Duty and select Clear Cache and Clear Data before reinstalling the app if you continue to have trouble2.

5. Limitations and Other Considerations
- You will not receive notifications for prescribed burns or for "silent" incident updates13.
- Currently, you can only select up to four counties for notifications3.
- If notifications from similar apps (like Pulse Point) appear but Watch Duty does not, ensure you are fully subscribed and have not muted or silenced notifications for specific incidents or regions6.

If you have followed all these steps and still are not receiving alerts, contacting Watch Duty support through their help center is recommended, as further troubleshooting may be required267.
