Hi! Congratulations on your new iPhone 17! I understand that the Frameo app, transferred during the Apple migration process, isn’t working on your new phone. I’m here to help you get this sorted out.

To start, could you please tell me a bit more about what’s happening? For example:
- Does the app fail to open, crash, or just not function correctly?
- Are you seeing any error messages?
- Have you tried signing into your Frameo account on the new phone yet?

Meanwhile, here’s a general approach that often helps after transferring apps to a new device:

1. Check for App Updates: Open the App Store on your iPhone 17 and ensure the Frameo app is updated to the latest version. Sometimes transferred apps need an update to run properly on new OS versions.

2. Re-login or Re-pair the Frameo App: If Frameo requires a connection to a Frameo digital photo frame, the app might need you to log in again or pair anew with your frame after the transfer. This is a common step after device changes.

3. Restart Your Phone: A quick restart can clear out residual glitches post-transfer.

4. Check Network Connection: Make sure your iPhone 17 has a stable WiFi or mobile data connection, as Frameo relies on the internet for syncing photos.

5. Clear Cache or Reinstall the App: If the app launches but doesn’t work properly, try deleting the app and reinstalling it fresh from the App Store.

Once you share more about what exactly “not working” means, I can guide you through specific settings or troubleshooting. Let me know!

Also, if you want to read Frameo’s official guidance on connecting a new phone, here’s their article explaining the re-connection process: Connect a New Phone - Frameo [2].

App opens and can see 2 frames I have but there is no way to transmit new photos to my two frames. Do not want to have to use friend way since it's only good for 24 hours.

Thanks for clarifying! It’s good that you can see your two frames in the app, but I understand you want to send new photos directly to them without using the “friend” method which only lasts 24 hours. Let’s troubleshoot the inability to transmit photos from your iPhone 17 through the Frameo app to your frames.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to check and fix this:

1. Confirm Frames Are Online and Connected to WiFi: Ensure your digital frames are powered on and connected to internet via WiFi. They need a stable internet connection to receive photos from the app.

2. Check Your Phone’s Internet Connection: Make sure your iPhone 17 has a steady internet connection as Frameo needs this to communicate with the frames.

3. Restart Both Your Phone and Frames: Sometimes restarting helps clear temporary glitches. Turn off your frames and iPhone, then turn them back on.

4. Try Sending Photos Through the App:
- Open Frameo app.
- Select the photos you want to send.
- Select the frames you want to send to.
- Confirm sending.

5. Update Your Frameo App: Check the App Store to verify that the Frameo app is updated. An older app version may cause sending issues.

6. Cancel Any Stuck Photos in Delivery: If there are any photos stuck in the sending queue, cancel those attempts before trying new photos. Stuck deliveries can block new sends.

7. Re-pair or Refresh Frames in App: In some cases, removing the frames from the app and adding them back can help re-establish a better connection.

If after these steps you still cannot send photos, there might be a deeper connectivity or account sync issue.

For more detailed guidance, you might find this Frameo support page useful: https://support.frameo.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402779275154--Photo-Stuck-in-Ongoing-Deliveries 1

Would you like me to walk you through any of these steps? Also, do your frames show any error messages, or do they look fine on their end?

Can I remove the app that was transferred to my new phone and reinstall the app from the Apple app store and then sign in with my e-mail and password I used on my old app?

Yes, you can definitely remove the Frameo app that was transferred to your new iPhone 17 and then reinstall it fresh from the Apple App Store. After reinstalling, you can sign in with the same email and password you used on your old phone. This process often helps clear up any glitches or syncing issues that might occur after a device transfer.

Once you log in, you will need to reconnect your phone to your Frameo frames, either by simply logging in or by pairing the new phone with the frames again. This step ensures that your new device is properly linked to your frames so you can send photos smoothly1.

If you'd like, I can guide you through the reinstall and reconnection process step-by-step. Would you like me to do that?

Sure! Here are clear instructions to uninstall, reinstall, and link your Frameo app on your new iPhone 17:

Step 1: Uninstall the Frameo app
- On your iPhone, find the Frameo app icon.
- Press and hold the icon until a menu appears or icons start to jiggle.
- Tap the small “-” or “Remove App” option and confirm to delete the app.

Step 2: Reinstall the Frameo app
- Open the Apple App Store on your iPhone.
- Use the search bar to type in “Frameo.”
- Find the official Frameo app in the results and tap the download/install button. Wait for the app to finish installing.

Step 3: Sign in and link your frames
- Open the freshly installed Frameo app.
- Log in using the same email and password you used on your old phone.
- Once logged in, you should see your frames listed. If not, you may need to add or re-pair your frames.
- To connect a frame:
- Make sure the digital photo frame is powered on and connected to WiFi.
- In the app, select “Add Frame” or a similar option.
- Follow the on-screen prompts, which may include entering a code displayed on your frame.

Step 4: Start sending photos
- Select the photos you want to share from your phone.
- Choose the frame(s) to send to.
- Send the photos and verify they appear on your frame(s).

If you want a detailed guide on linking your phone to a frame, Frameo’s official article here is very helpful: How to Connect Phone to a Frame [2].

Let me know if you want me to walk you through each step! Are you satisfied with this solution so far?

Reinstalled and can see my 2 frames. One works and I sent photo to it. Second frame is at sister's but is not connected to her wi-fi so I will have to reconnect it in a day or so and try to send photos. But the reinstall approach provided me with the weans to send photos to my frames without using the add a friend way which is too limited.

Great question! You can definitely send photos to your Frameo frames without using the “Add a Friend” feature. The “Add a Friend” method is designed for temporary sharing with others, but since you own the frames, logging into your Frameo account on the app and linking your frames directly allows you to send photos seamlessly.

Here’s how it works:
1. Open the Frameo app and sign in with your account (email and password).
2. Your frames will appear in the app if they are linked to your account.
3. Select the photos you want to send and choose the frames from your list.
4. Send the photos directly to your frames without needing a friend code.

This process is intended for the owner’s own phone to manage photos on their frames without the 24-hour limit that “Add a Friend” imposes1.

If you want to review a detailed guide or video, Frameo’s official support page and YouTube tutorial can help further:

Does this explanation help? Would you like me to guide you through sending photos this way step-by-step?
