Hi! I see you’re having trouble with numerous songs missing from your Napster playlists. That can be quite a hassle, especially after spending hours curating them. To help you better, can you tell me a bit more?
- Are these playlists that you created yourself or ones you saved from others?
- Do the missing songs fail to appear entirely or do they show up but don’t play?
- Have you tried signing out and signing back in, or updating the app recently?

While you get back to me, I’ll share some common steps that tend to resolve this issue:

1. Sign out and sign back in: This can refresh your account data and sync your playlists properly.
2. Check for app updates: Make sure your Napster app is up to date to avoid bugs causing missing songs.
3. Sync your playlists: Sometimes, playlists don’t sync correctly. Signing out and back in, or refreshing the app can help with this.
4. Check network connection: A stable internet connection ensures your playlists and songs sync fully from the cloud.

If these don’t fix it, the next step would be to verify if there’s an issue with your account or if Napster’s servers have any outages temporarily affecting playlist syncing.

Let me know what you’ve tried or observe, and we’ll go deeper if needed!

I signed out and back in. No change. I checked the status, and it is green and says everything is operational. I am on a PC with Spectrum 400 MBPS wired internet. There are no issues with my account. Where would I check for updates to the program?

Thanks for the details! Since you’re on a Windows PC using WebKit, you likely have the Napster desktop app installed or you are accessing Napster via a browser. For the desktop app, updates are generally managed through the app itself or via the Microsoft Store if you installed it from there.

Here’s how to check and update the Napster app on your PC:

1. If you installed Napster via the Microsoft Store:
- Open the Microsoft Store app on your PC.
- Click the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner and select "Downloads and updates."
- Click "Get updates" to refresh all apps, including Napster, if an update is available.

2. If you installed Napster via a downloaded installer:
- Open the Napster app on your PC.
- Check the app’s settings or help menu for an option like “Check for updates.”
- If no such option exists, you can visit Napster’s official site to download the latest version of the Windows desktop app here: Napster Desktop App - Windows & Mac

3. Alternatively, if you’re using Napster via a browser:
- Browser-based access should always be up to date, but try clearing your browser cache or switching browsers as a test.

Since you’re on a wired Spectrum connection at 400 Mbps, connectivity issues are unlikely causing the missing songs, but clearing cache in the app or the browser (depending on usage) can sometimes help sync playlist data better.

Let me know if you need guidance on any of the above steps!

Upon further examination, it appears that most of the artists who were on my playlist are not even listed on your site anymore. I listen to a lot of music from the 1970s through the 1990s, so if you are getting away from that and focusing on the new garbage being produced, I will find another service and cancel this one one I get another in place. Thanks.

I completely understand your frustration, especially when you’ve invested a lot of time in building your playlists with music from the 1970s through the 1990s. It sounds like many artists from that era are not showing up on the current Napster platform, and that’s understandably disappointing.

Napster’s music catalog depends heavily on licensing agreements with record labels and rights holders. Sometimes, certain artists’ or albums’ availability can change due to these licensing shifts. This can unfortunately mean that some older tracks or artists might be removed or temporarily unavailable, even if they were previously accessible. This situation isn’t unique to Napster—most streaming services face similar challenges with licensing older music catalogs8.

If you’re hearing the current catalog is focused more on recent releases, that could be tied to licensing prioritizations or deals Napster has active right now. I would recommend contacting Napster Support directly through [email protected] to provide feedback about the availability of your favorite genres and artists. User input helps influence licensing decisions over time.

In the meantime, if you want, I can help you search within Napster for specific 70s or 90s artists to see if any are still accessible and suggest alternatives or ways to recreate your playlists efficiently with available tracks. Would that be helpful to you?

Are you satisfied with this explanation so far, or would you like me to assist you with searching or playlist rebuilding on Napster?
