Hi! Thanks for reaching out about the issue with MyRadar showing only half of the screen on your iPhone. Just to make sure I understand correctly: when you open the app, the radar map covers only half of your screen, and tapping the first button doesn’t let you proceed or interact fully? Could you tell me a little more about which button you’re referring to and what exactly happens when you tap it? That’ll help me guide you better.

Meanwhile, here are a few quick checks we can try:

1. Close and Reopen the App: Double-tap your iPhone’s home button (or swipe up from the bottom and pause if no home button) to bring up the app switcher. Swipe the MyRadar app off the screen to close it fully, then open it again.

2. Check for Split Screen or Multitasking Settings: iPhones don’t normally have split screen for apps like iPads do, but sometimes display glitches can happen. Try rotating your phone to see if the screen fills properly in landscape mode.

3. Restart Your iPhone: A simple restart can clear up temporary glitches.

4. Update MyRadar: Ensure that your MyRadar app is updated to the latest version from the App Store. Sometimes bugs like screen display issues are fixed in updates.

5. Reinstall the App: If the above doesn't help, delete the app and reinstall it fresh. This can restore default settings and clear any corrupted data.

Could you try these and let me know if the problem persists? Also, if you could share a screenshot or describe exactly which "first button" you’re pressing, that would be great.

Looking forward to your reply!

It ends up that I have to delete app and start over again. It won’t let me past. I’ve done this 4 times. It doesn’t do it everytime so I’ll have to wait to see that the half the first button says and report it again.

Thanks for the update and for sharing that you've had to delete and reinstall MyRadar multiple times. It sounds like the app occasionally gets stuck and won't let you proceed past that first button, which is definitely inconvenient.

Since this issue isn’t consistent and sometimes resolves after reinstalling, it could indicate a deeper app-level or device-specific glitch. Here are a few additional suggestions that might help reduce the need for frequent reinstallations:

1. Check for App Updates Regularly: Developers often fix bugs in new releases. Make sure the app is always updated via the App Store.

2. Clear iPhone Cache by Restarting: Since iOS doesn't have a direct cache clearing option, restarting your iPhone periodically can help free temporary system data that might interfere with apps.

3. Check for iOS Updates: You're on iOS 18.6, which is quite recent, but it’s good to confirm you’re on the latest stable release, as system updates include compatibility fixes.

4. Review Permissions: Sometimes MyRadar needs permissions for location, notifications, etc. Go to Settings > MyRadar and ensure all required permissions are enabled.

5. Try Using the App Without Other Background Apps Running: Close other apps before opening MyRadar to see if the problem persists, as memory issues sometimes cause app glitches.

6. Report the Issue With Details: Since this issue recurs and you mentioned it doesn’t do it every time, gathering exact details (what the first button says, what error or behavior happens) will be really helpful for the MyRadar team to diagnose and fix it. You can contact MyRadar support directly at [email protected].

If after these steps the app still frequently requires reinstalling, the problem might be due to a bug on their end, in which case staying in touch with their support is best.

You can also check out their FAQ and support pages for troubleshooting tips specific to MyRadar here: MyRadar FAQ/Troubleshooting.

Let me know if you'd like help going through any of these steps in more detail. Are you satisfied with the solution I provided so far?

Thanks for sharing the details again! It sounds like the MyRadar app on your iPhone is showing only half the screen, and when you tap the first button, it’s unresponsive—correct? Since you’re on iOS 18.6, let's try a few iPhone-specific steps along with some app-focused ones:

1. Check for Dual Pane Mode: MyRadar added a “Dual Pane” feature that splits the screen for different views. Sometimes if this gets stuck or triggered accidentally, it might cause the screen to look halved. Try looking for a "Dual Pane" button on the toolbar, and toggle it off if you see it. Make sure your app is fully updated to get this feature and its fixes3.

2. Force Close and Restart the App: Double tap your home button or swipe up the gesture bar to open the app switcher, then swipe the MyRadar app up to close it. Reopen the app and see if the display is normal.

3. Restart Your iPhone: Press and hold the side button and either volume button until the slider appears. Slide to power off, then turn it back on after 30 seconds.

4. Check for Location and Permissions: In your iPhone's Settings > MyRadar, make sure location services and other permissions are enabled fully to let the app function as expected.

5. If the First Button is Unresponsive: Could you tell me what the button is labeled or what it’s supposed to do when it works? This info can help pinpoint if it’s a UI bug or something else.

6. Reinstall as Last Resort: Since you’ve had to reinstall multiple times, keep your app updated but consider reporting this intermittent behavior directly to MyRadar via their support or email to help their developers investigate1.

If you want, I can also guide you on capturing and sharing a screenshot of the problem for reporting. Let me know how these steps go or if you want help with any of them!

Are you satisfied with this guidance so far?
